The countdown to this year’s Aldershot Army Show, entitled ‘Aldershot Army Live’ to reflect greater participation, begins this week with the launch of the show’s 2009 website.

Visit www.armyshow.co.uk to get full details of the show’s programme of events including such family favourites as: freefall parachute displays and the main events arena showcasing the Army’s latest equipment as well as a realistic battle simulation demonstrating how some of Aldershot’s soldiers are operating in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Tens of thousands are expected to flock to the show, which is run in partnership with Rushmoor Borough Council and Aspire Defence, the event’s main sponsors for the sixth year running, over the weekend of 4 and 5 July 2009.

The show has proved extremely popular providing excellent family value; having paid a one-off entry fee much of the entertainment and many of the attractions on site are then free!

So, once again, Aldershot looks set to play host to one of the South East’s biggest crowd pullers.
